Chinese Zhenhua to Build GSM Mobile Phone Plant

According to a report by the Xinhua News Agency, Chinese Zhenhua Electronics has obtained approval from China's National Development and Reform Commission for the construction of a GSM mobile phone production facility, in which the company will invest 86.6 million RMB. The plant is expected to have an annual production capacity of more than 1.2 million units and it will take about a year before it will be ready to start production. Furthermore, Dopod recently also obtained mobile phone production licenses, for a GSM line and a CDMA line respectively.
